Chr. Hansen – one of the core members of the Plant Biolgicals Network – invites you for a visit at the company production site in Avedøre. Chr. Hansen is widely known for producing natural colors and enzymes for the food industry. They are one of the few bioscience companies that are able to breed bacteria. The vast expertise in working with bacteria is also put to use in the agricultural sector. Chr. Hansen carefully selects and improves strains of the bacillus bacteria, which are used to produce biostimulants, biofungicides and bionematides to increase crop yields and protect plants against diseases.
At the production site in Avedøre, Chr. Hansen has more than 500 employees working around the clock to produce bacteria and natural colors for the global market.
